Track History & Facts

As the premier race track in east Texas, Sam Houston Race Park typically produces 10-race cards daily during both the thoroughbred and Quarter horse meet. The track also features Arabian breed racing. Simulcast wagering is available seven days a week.

As a noted concert venue, the track has a dedicated infield stage, and hosts the annual ZiegenBock Music Festival.
