The spring meet at Belmont Park is underway and the track has assembled a loaded card for Saturday’s races. The stakes action will include the Man ‘O War Stakes (G1), the Ruffian Stakes (G2) and the Peter Pan Stakes (G2) which will showcase some of the top horses in several divisions.

Post-time for Saturday's 11-race card is 1:30 PM, with the Ruffian going at 4:43, the Peter Pan at 5:45 and the Man O' War at 6:17. All times Eastern.

Man O' War Stakes Odds

The Man O’ War Stakes (G1) is the featured race of the day and offers a purse of $400,000. The Grade 1 race will be run at a mile and three eighths on the turf and has drawn a field of nine. Kaigun is coming out of a game runner-up effort in the Dixiana Elkhorn Stakes (G2) and will be trying for his second win of the year. He will take on the favorite, Wake Forest (GER) who will be making his second start off a layoff.

Ruffian Handicap and Peter Pan Stakes Odds

The Ruffian Stakes (G2) has drawn a field of six including multiple graded stakes winner Cavorting who will be making her second start back off of a brief freshening. She will face the up and coming Carrumba who broke through and earned her first graded stakes victory last time out. Both fillies are by top sire Bernardini.

The Peter Pan Stakes (G2) will be run at a mile and an eighth on the main track and is timed so that it can work out as a prep race for the Belmont Stakes (G1). In 2014, Tonalist was able to parlay a win in the Peter Pan (G2) into a win in the Belmont Stakes (G2) and denied California Chrome the Triple Crown. This year, Unified has been tabbed as the heavy favorite as the undefeated colt is going for his second straight graded stakes victory.
