Yavapai Downs is home to live horse racing betting action and simulcast wagering on featured tracks. It is situated on 200 pristine acres of land at the base of the Mingus Mountains.

Yavapai Downs holds thoroughbred and quarter horse racing from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The season is comprised of 56 racing days. In the off-season the track rents out its facilities. Yavapai Downs has two stall areas. One is very large and can hold 1,000 horses. The other is smaller and holds 100-200 horses. The stall sizes are approximately 12x12. The Grandstand area measures 85,000 square feet and can accommodate 5,000 horse racing fans. For larger events, additional seating is added, which doubles the maximum occupancy.

Yavapai Downs features one main track. It is a one mile oval. During the summer, Yavapai Downs holds simulcast horse wagering for over forty horse racing venues.
