Los Alamitos Facts: The Los Alamitos Racetrack is located right off Katella Ave in Los Alamitos, California. There is something special about taking in a horse race in the beautiful California environment. You can find lots of various types of horse racing at Los Alamitos racetrack. They currently offer: Quarter Horse, Arabian, Thoroughbred, Paint and Appaloosa Racing. There's something for everyone at Los Alamitos Racetrack. Horse racing takes place at Los Alamitos Racetrack pretty much year-round. Horse racing is held four nights a week - Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Los Alamitos Racetrack does not race on certain special dates like Super Bowl Sunday, Valentines Day, Thanksgiving Day and so forth. On Thursday and Friday post times are at 7:15 pm, on Saturday post time is 7:00 pm and on Sunday post time is 5:30 pm. Attendees can catch great simulcast horse racing events before post time - normally about an hour and a half before post time. Race results are posted at their website and their free phone line (long distance charges may apply). Los Alamitos is one of the great race tracks that is featured on TVG. If you are going to head down to Los Alamitos Racetrack, Thursday is a great day to go. They offer free general admission on Thursdays after 4:30 pm. Of course, any horse racing day is a good one, but free admission can't be beat. They also have senior nights for those 62 and older. Los Alamitos Racetrack has a great luxury club and dining options. Currently, Los Alamitos has the ability to stable 1,400 horses. Los Alamitos Racetrack is well-known in the horse racing world and it's a great track to place horse bet at.
