Colorado Horse Racing

While not a focal of the United States racing calendar, Arapahoe Park is the lone racetrack in the state of Colorado and generates plenty of local interest with its array of Thoroughbred, Paint horse, Quarter horse and Arabian racing action. Offering live racing from late-May to mid-August, Arapahoe hosts plenty of fan-friendly events throughout its meet.

Located in Aurora Colorado, Arapahoe offers live race on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout its live meet with select holiday Mondays occasionally embedded into its calendar. Arapahoe has been in existence since 1992 and features its most lucrative races during closing weekend. Racing in the state of Colorado goes back to the opening of the now defunct Centennial Race Track in 1950.
